POUGHKEEPSIE – Two Democratic Dutchess County town supervisors are the first to endorse Republican County Executive Marcus Molinaro for a second four-year term in office.
Both North East Supervisor John Merwin and Pine Plains Supervisor Brian Coons announced their support for Molinaro.
“He has done an admirable job in putting our county back on sound financial group,” said Merwin.
“My core values are with the Democrat party but I don’t always agree with members of my party,” said Coons. “I always want to do what is best for my community and that is why I am endorsing County Executive Molinaro.”
Democrat Diane Jablonski will formally announce her bid for county executive next Tuesday.
