NEW CITY – A 47-year-old New City
man, who was struck by a hit-and-run driver as he rode his bicycle in
New City on Saturday, May 9, has died.
Clarkstown Police said Alfred Zaldivar died on Thursday, May 14 from injuries
he sustained when struck early Saturday morning, May 9 while on Old Route
304 and Cypress Street.
The vehicle that struck him fled the scene and has yet to be located.
Police believe the vehicle was a black Jeep with a black grill, possibly
a 2005-2007 Grand Cherokee. The vehicle is believed to have front end
damage to the grill.
