SUNY Ulster presidential finalists to visit campus

STONE RIDGE – As SUNY Ulster President Dr. Donald Katt prepares to retire this summer, the four finalists for the school’s top job will be on campus to meet with college officials and the community.
Dr. Eunice Bellinger is vice president of Academic Affairs at Niagara Community College. She previously held positions as the executive vice president of Academic Affairs and Provost at Genesee Community College, interim provost at Massachusetts Bay Community College, chief academic officer at the Long Island Center of Empire State College, founding dean of the graduate program in education at Abu Dhabi University, and dean of Liberal Arts at America University in Dubai.
Dr. Jowel Laguere, a native of Haiti, became superintendent and president of Solano Community College District in 2009. Prior to that, he was vice president for Academic Affairs at Truckee Meadows Community College in Reno, Nevada.
Dr. Charlene Newkirk has served as the south campus president of Community College of Allegheny County in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Alan Robert has served as vice president of Applied Science and Technology at Indian River State College in Fort Pierce, Florida since 2004. Prior to holding that position, he served as the college’s dean of Health Sciences and dean of Business and Industry Technology.
