Sullivan IDA approves grants/loans to micro-entrepreneurs

FERNDALE – Three companies in Sullivan County have been approved for a combination of loans and grants through the Rural Micro-Entrepreneur Assistance Program. The county Industrial Development Agency granted the more than $100,000 in loans and $53,000 in grants at its Monday meeting.

Catskill Distilling Company in Bethel will receive a $50,000 loan and $12,000 grant for an expansion project
Red Cottage, Inc., a vacation properties rental business in Grahamsville, will receive a $30,500 and grant of $21,000 to develop virtual tours
Prohibition Distillery in Roscoe will receive a $21,251 loan and $19,400 grant for expansion and upgrading

The program is funded through USDA, which provides $440,000 in loan funds and $60,000 for technical support grants.
