School bus driver charged with DWI after crash

CORTLANDT – A school bus driver for the Lakeland School District has been arrested and charged with DWI after the bus she was driving sideswiped a telephone pole on Red Mill Road in the Town of Cortlandt.
State Police said Mary Coletti, 56, of Cortlandt Manor was driving the bus around 7 a.m. with 35 students from Walter Panas High School.
A few students reported minor injuries.
Troopers determined that she was operating the bus in an intoxicated condition and a subsequent breath test determined her blood alcohol content to be 0.13 percent.
Coletti was charged with felony DWI under Leandra’s Law, arraigned and sent to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail.
