KINGSTON – A woman, who went to the Ulster County Jail Saturday afternoon to visit an inmate, is now being detained herself.
The Ulster County Sheriff’s Office said Kristin Vargas, 31, of Clifton Park, is considered a fugitive from justice in connection with a felony charge of forgery and is wanted by the Allentown, PA Police Department.
Vargas was detained at the Ulster jail after she arrived to visit an inmate and was arrested by deputies. She is being held without bail pending extradition.
