Names of those killed in church van crash released

WAWARSING – State Police released the names of the victims in Sunday’s crash between a church van and a tractor-trailer truck on Route 209 in the Town of Wawarsing.
Killed in the crash were Miguel St. Louis, 17, of Brooklyn, Ricadeau Anantua, 33, of Freeport, and Garry Edouard, 48, of Wyandanch, all passengers in the van.
The driver of the van, Mario Gue, 61, of Brooklyn and another passenger, Mario Esteverne, 59, of North Elmont, were airlifted to Westchester Medical Center for treatment.  Both remain in critical but stable condition.
The other two passengers in the van, Ariel Regis, 35, of Brooklyn and
Mario Esteverne, Jr., 16, of North Elmont, along with the truck driver,
Tampie Adams, 37, of Randleman, NC, were transported to Ellenville Regional
Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Police said at this time it does not appear that drugs or alcohol played any role in the collision.
No criminal charges have been filed, but the accident remains under investigation.
