Beacon city administrator starts on the job

BEACON – The City of Beacon’s
new city administrator started on the job on Monday.

Anthony Ruggiero was previously city manager in Peekskill.

The term of his new job, as per an employment letter of agreement with
Beacon, will run for 3 ½ years beginning May 4 and ending on December
31, 2018.

Ruggiero replaces acting Beacon Administrator Timothy Dexter, the city’s
building inspector, who will revert to that position.

Ruggiero worked in Peekskill for over 13 years – 12 years in the
planning department and 18 months as city manager. He will earn $125,000
per year in Beacon.
