CHESTNUT RIDGE – Rockland Independent
Living Center, headquartered in New City, is launching a new program –
Connections Contact Center, designed to put people with disabilities and
veterans in touch with businesses.
Independent Living Center Executive Director George Hochmann said the facility, in Chestnut Ridge, will provide a call center and other related services to businesses in the county.
“It’s a great opportunity because it is going to be helping businesses build their business,” Hochmann said. “It is a contact center so it is an inbound and outbound call center. They will also be helping them with marketing, with email lists to be able to promote business.”
The $350,000 to fund the program, which will eventually see three such centers, comes from the state.
