One of 16 NYC co-workers who won $58 million Mega Millions jackpot is from Ulster County

NEW YORK – Sixteen co-workers of Manhattan
biopharmaceutical company Ophthotech hit the March 24, $58 million Mega
Millions jackpot and one of them hails from Accord.

Harvey Masonson was among those in the “Lucky 16 Trust” who
pooled their money, contributing $4 per week, toward the purchase of lottery
tickets.

The 16 will split a one-time cash payment of $38.3 million, which comes
to $25.4 million after taxes. Each member will walk away with over $1.65
million.

The others who joined in the ticket sales live in the Bronx; Manhattan,
Long Island City; a number of locations in New Jersey, and one from Venice,
California.

Group spokeswoman and company chief operating officer Evelyn Harrison
said the Lucky 16 represent senior executives, administrative staff “and
everyone in between.”
