March traffic, revenue up marginally on Mid-Hudson bridges

HIGHLAND – Revenues grew by three-quarters of one percent while traffic increased by one-third of a percent on the five bridges operated by the New York State Bridge Authority.
Percentage-wise the Rip Van Winkle Bridge continued to experience the largest revenue and traffic growth at 2.72 percent and 2.70 percent respectively, the Bear Mountain Bridge fell by 2.5 percent in revenue and by 1.74 percent in traffic.
Mid-Hudson Bridge revenue rose by 1.87 percent while traffic increased by 1.08 percent.
Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge revenue rose by 1.56 percent while traffic increased by 0.83 percent.               
The Newburgh-Beacon Bridge saw a drop of 0.37 percent in revenue and a decline in traffic of 0.18 percent.
In total, all five bridges carried just under 4.7 million vehicles with revenues of $4.3 million.
