NJ murder suspect arrested in Poughkeepsie

POUGHKEEPSIE – A man wanted for murder and attempted murder in Newark, New Jersey was arrested in Poughkeepsie on Wednesday.
Dutchess County Sheriff’s deputies, Poughkeepsie City Police and members of the New Jersey FBI Violent Crime Task Force and FBI Hudson Valley Safe Streets Task Force executed a search warrant and arrested Mikey Miguel Williams, 32, who was wanted for murder, attempted murder, and unlawful possession of a weapon stemming from an incident on February 9, said Dutchess County Sheriff’s Det. Sgt. Stephen Reverri.
When arrested at 365 Mansion Street, Williams was found in possession of a .45 caliber stainless steel semi-automatic            handgun with seven live rounds. The weapon was reported stolen in Virginia on November 11, 2014.               
Poughkeepsie Police charged Williams with criminal possession of a weapon.  He was arraigned on the local charge as well as for being a fugitive from justice from New Jersey and was held pending extradition.
