TOWN OF SOUTHEAST – A 37-year-old
Danbury, Connecticut man was killed Tuesday night when his car struck
another vehicle while both were traveling on northbound I-684.
State Police identified the victim of the 7:18 p.m. Crash as Israel Albarracin,
who was driving a 2005 Buick Rendezvous that struck a 2011 Subaru Legacy
driven by Raymond Finney, 27, of Carmel in the rear passenger side.
Albarracin’s vehicle ran off the road, rolled over and struck a
tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene due to apparent head trauma,
police said. Finney was not injured.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Brewster Fire Department, Transcare
and the Danbury Police Department.
