WAPPINGERS FALLS – A fire ripped through one condo and damaged at least one other early Tuesday afternoon in the Village of Wappingers Falls. The blaze at 15 South Gilmore Boulevard took about 30 minutes to get under control. One firefighter was transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The Wappingers Falls Fire Department was assisted at the scene by New Hamburg, Hughsonville, Fishkill and New Hackensack fire departments, Mobile Life Support Services ambulance, Dutchess County Emergency Response, and Wappingers Falls Police. The Arlington and Rombout fire departments provided station coverage.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
