Public health educator honored in Dutchess County

POUGHKEEPSIE – Long-time Dutchess County public health educator Ozzie Williams was honored Tuesday as part of the county’s National Public Health Week kickoff.
County Executive Marcus Molinaro said Williams and her colleagues go above and beyond the call of duty.
“The work that Ozzie does and health department is that each of them reaches out beyond their job requirements into the community to be educators, to be resources and to promote the importance of healthy living, healthy lifestyles and making the choices you can in your life,” Molinaro said.

Williams will also be nominated on the state level.
The Dutchess public health week kickoff also included a lunchtime walk around Poughkeepsie.
