NEW YORK – Nine people, including a Newburgh man, were indicted Wednesday in New York City for their alleged roles in a major narcotics trafficking rink that possessed and sold cocaine throughout Manhattan, the Bronx and New Jersey.
Among those charged was Ralph Ben Cotto, 36, of Newburgh, who possessed $75,000 worth of cocaine with intent to sell it. Authorities said he allegedly drove between his townhouse in Newburgh and his co-conspirators’ apartments in New York City to advance their narcotics conspiracy.
As a result, Cotto was charged with operating as a major drug trafficker and several felony counts of criminal possession of drugs.
