Capital District man charged with criminal contempt, menacing with a knife

SAUGERTIES – A Schenectady man was arrested last Friday following a dispute with a woman at the Wenton Motel on Route 9W in Saugerties on February 28.
As a result, Nicholas Pantoni, 26, was charged on Friday, March 27, with criminal contempt, criminal possession of a weapon,  a knife, and menacing.  He was sent to the Ulster County jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail.
Police arrested Pantoni following a report of a disturbance at the Simmons Plaza in the Town of Saugerties. He was charged with felony criminal contempt for violating an order of protection already in place by the courts.
