Connecticut man arrested in fatal Amenia hit-and-run

POUGHKEEPSIE – The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Kent, Connecticut man in connection with the March 19 hit-and-run accident that claimed the life of Concetta Eastman, 36, of Copake.
She was killed on Bog Hollow Road in the Town of Amenia.
Randy Miles, 57, was located and interviewed on Monday, March 23 in Connecticut.  On Tuesday, he was turned over to the Dutchess Sheriff’s Office where he was charged with leaving the scene of a fatal auto accident as a felony.  Miles was sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.
The vehicle believed to have been involved in the crash was located in the Town of Kent on Saturday.
The investigation is continuing and additional charges are possible.
