POUGHKEEPSIE – The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office charged a Poughkeepsie man on two felonies for DWI after they found his car stopped along the road on Myers Corners Road in the Town of Wappinger.
The investigating deputy took Matthew Lucas, 37, into custody for DWI last Saturday and while being processed, it was learned he has three previous convictions for DWI including two within the last 10 years.
It was also learned that Lucas’ driver’s license had been revoked for DWI, making that a felony charge as well.
Lucas was charged with felony DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation, also a felony, and refusal to submit to a breath test, as an infraction.  He was sent to the Dutchess County Jail without bail following his arrest.
