Two charged with assaulting off-duty FDNY member after St. Pat’s parade

GOSHEN – Two men were arrested for putting a 50-year-old off-duty New York City fireman in the hospital with a fractured eye socket, head trauma and possible broken ribs in an assault that occurred after the Mid-Hudson St. Patrick’s Day parade in the Village of Goshen on Sunday. The victim was beaten outside Maureen Mullany’s Pub at 148 West Main Street in Goshen.
Matthew Hanlon, 29, of Warwick, and Tristan Hoffman, 34, of Goshen are both charged with felony assault and sent to the Orange County Jail.   Bail was set at $10,000 for Hanlon and $25,000 for Hoffman.
The victim was treated at Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill.
