MONTICELLO – The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office has activated the state Amber Alert and is investigating a child abduction that occurred on Dom Drive in Monticello at around 6 p.m. Wednesday.
The alert said four children were taken – Gabriella Torres; Jacob Esquilin, 4; Jionni Torres, 2; and Assata Mari Franklin, 6 months.
Police are looking for two suspects. Tina Esquilin, a Hispanic female, is approximately 27 years old, with black hair and brown eyes, is approximately five feet, four inches tall and weighs about 169 pounds. Alfred Franklin Jr., a black male, is approximately 30 years old with black hair and brown eyes. He is approximately six feet, one inch tall and weighs about 220 pounds.
Police said the suspects have a violent history and fled with the children following a court order removing them from their custody due to negligent and suspected drug activity.
