GOSHEN – The 11 investigators in the Orange County District Attorney’s Office have broken away from the CSEA unit and formed their own union – Local 8 of the New York State Union of Police Associations.
They have yet to start bargaining for their first contract with the county administration, said Investigator Thomas Reinle. Until they have their own contract in place, they will retain the same terms and benefits as they had when they were members of the CSEA.
Negotiations are expected to begin in the near future.
