UPPER NYACK – Police are investigating
an incident on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. when a man in a red pickup truck
approached two 12-year-old girls walking home from Nyack Middle School
at Birchwood Avenue and Route 9W. The man described to be white, about
50 to 60 years old, with gray hair, facial stubble, and wearing a plaid
shirt and sunglasses, said, “hello ladies; isn’t it a beautiful
day.”

Earlier this week, a girl walking to the same school in the morning, was
approached by a man, who asked her to get in his car. She fled to the
school.

Clarkstown Police do not believe the most recent case is related to the
earlier one.

Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area or have information
about the incident to call them at 845-639-5840.
