NYACK – Police are looking for a heavy
set, bald, middle age white man with glasses who tried to pick up a 12-year-old
Nyack Middle School girl as she walked to school Wednesday morning. Although
the incident occurred around 7:25 a.m., the child did not report it to
authorities until late in the day.
She told authorities that as she was walking to the school alone, a man
approached in a newer four-door white sedan, said “good morning,”
told her she was “very pretty” and urged her to get in his
car.
She tried to flee to the school, but the man blocked her route with his
car. She was about to run to the school.
Orangetown and South Nyack Grandview Police are investigating.
