Four arrested after drug raid in Chester

CHESTER – Four people have been arrested following a no-knock warrant search of a residence in the Village of Chester turned up drugs, packaging material and cash.
Village Police conducted the search at 5 a.m. on Monday, March 9 as a result of a five-month investigation into drug trafficking at 16 Meadow Avenue.  Initial entry into the apartment was conducted by the Orange County Sheriff’s Special Operations Group. There were no injuries reported.
Over 100 packets of suspected heroin and some 14 ounces of suspected marijuana were seized along with $1,100 in cash, drug paraphernalia and packaging materials.  A stolen revolver was also recovered.
Michael Curtis, Jr., 23 was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of stolen property, both felonies, and misdemeanors of endangering the welfare of a child, several counts of criminal sale of marijuana, and criminal possession of marijuana. He was sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash ail or $60,000 bond.
Klerisa Peterson, 22, was charged with criminal possession of drugs, several counts of endangering the welfare of a child and several counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia. She was sent on $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
Richard Decker, 24, was charged with several counts of endangering the welfare of a child and a violation of unlawful possession of marijuana. He was sent in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
A 20-year-old man, who police did not identify, was charged with felony and misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance, as well as criminally using drug paraphernalia, criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument, several counts of endangering the welfare of a child, all as misdemeanors, and unlawful possession of marijuana as a violation. He was sent in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
