KINGSTON – A Kingston man wanted for violations by the state Division of Parole was arrested in Kingston after he fought with police on Thursday. Four parole officers were taken to Kingston Hospital and treated for injuries sustained during the incident.
City Police and state parole officers apprehended Dennis Church, 27, of Springbrook Village in Kingston, but not before he fought with them and ran from his residence.
An Ulster County Sheriff’s K-9 Unit was called in to aid in the search. Church was found hiding on a porch in the area.
He was charged with violation of parole, assault and resisting arrest.
