ALBANY – District attorneys in four Hudson Valley counties will receive additional state funding to investigate state tax evasion and welfare fraud cases.
The funds will come through the state’s Crimes Against Revenue Program, which is funded by the proceeds from investigations that result in tax revenues, fines and restitution being returned to the state.
Rockland County will get the largest chunk of money with $393,675.  Westchester County will receive $338,050. Ulster County will receive $99,500. Orange County will get$25,000.
District attorney’s offices in those counties already participate in the program.
