KINGSTON – A Saugerties man pled guilty in Ulster County Court on Tuesday to a charge of criminal contempt and was sentenced to 1¼ to three years in state prison.
In addition, the court issued an order of protection on behalf of the victim and two children who the victim and the defendant, Jared Dutcher, have in common.
Dutcher has prior assault and criminal contempt convictions regarding the same victim, as well as 2002 and criminal contempt convictions regarding another victim.
In this case, the Town of Saugerties Court had issued an order of protection for the victim, which he violated in a domestic violence incident in the presence of their children.
