Four charged in Mount Hope armed robbery, assault

MOUNT HOPE – For Middletown men are
in the Orange County Jail without bail following an armed home invasion
robbery in Mount Hope Thursday night.

Police investigated and determined that three masked men armed with knives
forcibly entered a residence on Newton Drive around 9:50 p.m. The occupants
were ordered to lie on the floor while the robbers removed cash, jewelry
and other property. A man living there was assaulted and stabbed on the
right hand sustaining minor injury. He was treated at the scene.

Police got the suspects while they were spotted in a Jeep not far away.
Officers saw them throwing an X-Box game system and other property from
the moving vehicle.

Arrested were Albert Reed, Jr., 22; Jeremy Monroe, 30; angel Cardona,
34; and Daniel Degroat, 24, all of Middletown.
