PORT EWEN – A Kingston woman was arrested by the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office on larceny-related charges.
On January 26 deputies received a complaint of several pieces of jewelry being stolen from a residence in Port Ewen.  Detectives investigated and determined that Amanda Zemko, 26, of Kingston allegedly had removed the jewelry from the residence while working there as a babysitter. She later sold the items at pawn shops in Kingston.
Zemko was charged with criminal possession of stolen property and released to appear in city court at a later date.
The investigation is continuing and police said additional charges may be filed.
