GARNERVILLE – An off-duty state trooper was arrested on Sunday on a charge of misdemeanor assault following a domestic incident. As a result, Paul Catrona, 35, was suspended from the job.
On February 8, a woman showed up at the Haverstraw State Police barracks with visible facial injuries following a dispute with Catrona. He allegedly struck the victim, causing her injuries.
Catrona was issued an appearance ticket returnable to town court.
