Ulster woman charged with assaulting her baby

KINGSTON – The Ulster County Family and Child Advocacy Center has
arrested a 35-year-old woman on a charge that she assaulted her 18-month-old
child.

Anne Marie Knapp of Accord was charged with assault and endangering the
welfare of a child. An investigation revealed the child was subjected
to physical abuse by her mother in the City of Kingston.

Knapp was arrested on Thursday and remanded to the Ulster County Jail
in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.

The Ulster County Family and Child Advocacy Center is comprised of the
State Police, Ulster County Sheriff’s Office, Child Protective Services
and the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office.

The case was referred to the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office
Special Victims Unit.
