Westchester woman charged with collecting fraudulent unemployment benefits

BEDFORD HILLS – State Police arrested a Bedford Hills woman on a felony charge of offering a false instrument for filing.
The arrest stems from a complaint received from the State labor Department that indicated Sharonda Service, 28, allegedly unlawfully collected unemployment benefits from April through November 2012 in an amount of over $10,000 while she was working.
Service was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Town of Bedford Court.
