ELLENVILLE – An Ellenville woman is charged with stealing Ellenville Housing Authority rent money owed to the agency by failing to report additional income and benefits. Miriam Ayerves, 58, is a tenant at the housing authority and it was determined she received income and benefits of over $4,000, which was not reported.
She was charged with the felonies of grand larceny, forgery and falsifying business records and was released to return to village court at a later date.
The case was brought to the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office last month.
