TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE – The man killed in a Sunday morning car crash in the Town of Poughkeepsie has been identified as Steven Hart, 39, of LaGrange. Hart was the only person in the vehicle.
The accident occurred just before 7 a.m. at the intersection of East Cedar Street and Violet Avenue. Town Police said the vehicle left the road at a high rate of speed, entered a wooded area, struck a tree and then caught fire.
An autopsy will be conducted later in the week.
