Two charged in Port Jervis with drug trafficking

PORT JERVIS – Two Port Jervis residents are in the Orange County Jail after their arrest on Wednesday on charges of drug dealing.
Port Jervis Police and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Group executed a no-knock search warrant at 140 Ball Street and seized an undisclosed amount of heroin and narcotics paraphernalia.
Kelly Dean, 47, and Jonathan Morgan, 20, both of that address, were arrested and charged with several felony crimes related to their alleged involvement in the sale of heroin. Detectives alleged the two sold the drug on several occasions.
Morgan was charged with four counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance and four counts of criminal possession with intent to sell, all as felonies. He was also charged with misdemeanor drug possession and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Dean was charged with one count each of criminal sale and possession of drugs as felonies.
Bail was set at $50,000 for Morgan and $25,000 for Dean.
