Pot found in Ulster Jail inmate’s cell

KINGSTON – A Lake Katrine man, who is in the Ulster County Jail, was arrested Wednesday when corrections officers found marijuana and a lighter in his cell.
Charles Burgher, Jr., 23, was charged with promoting prison contraband and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Burgher was charged after officers conducting a walkthrough of one of the pods at the jail detected an odor of smoke coming from his cell.  He will appear in Kingston City Court on the new charge at a later date.
He is currently in jail on an unrelated charge of criminal contempt.
