TOWN OF WALLKILL – A Middletown woman, who was a passenger in a 2002 BMW, was killed in a crash with a 2012 Mercedes Benz Monday afternoon on Mount Hope Road in the Town of Wallkill.
State Police said a car driven by Bowen Du, 20, of Ontario, Canada, was eastbound on Mount Hope Road as another car driven by Allen Bobb, 59, of Port Jervis, was westbound. Du lost control on the slippery roadway at about 1 p.m., and T-boned Bobb’s car.
Du’s passenger, Zhangbian Tian, 22, of Middletown, died at the scene.
Du, Bobb, and his wife, Diane, 59, were transported to Orange Regional Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
The road was closed for over three hours during the investigation.
