Sullivan County woman arrested for smuggling drugs to inmate boyfriend

FISHKILL – A Loch Sheldrake woman was arrested on Saturday and charged with bringing drugs into Downstate Correctional Facility in Fishkill for her boyfriend who is an inmate there.
Linda Ahnstrom, 46, was charged with felony and misdemeanor promoting prison contraband and felony criminal possession of a controlled substance for smuggling into the prison synthetic marijuana and Oxycodone pills.
Ahnstrom was sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond.
State Police were assisted by the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.
