KINGSTON – A week doesn’t go by without Kingston Police making arrests for drug dealing.
Police Chief Egidio Tinti said his department is keeping the heat on those buying and selling illegal substances.
“We are trying to be proactive but it does seem as though the desire for demand to bring drugs into this area so we are attacking it from two different fronts – one, we are trying to make it that the buyers are aware that the dealers are being looked at by law enforcement and by putting them away in jail with very good cooperation from the district attorney’s office and these investigations do result in putting them away for a number of years and for us, makes the streets that much cleaner for that time period,” Tinti said.
Heroin sales and use appears to be the drug of choice not only in Kingston but around the region of late.
