HUDSON – A woman who was allegedly involved in a series of physical and sexual abuse incidents involving underage victims in Columbia County was sent to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail.
Jeanine VanAlphen-Moot, 30, of Craryville, told the court on Friday she could not meet the bail, was on SSI and that she was eight to nine weeks pregnant, and needed pre-natal care she would not get in jail.
Judge Richard Koweek rejected her argument and sent her to jail.
Also arrested in the investigation of sexual abuse were Goliath VanAlphen, 45, of Claverack, William Wendover, 27, of Cairo, and Eugene Shackleton, 58, of Copake.
