Attempted abduction reported in Town of Wallkill

TOWN OF WALLKILL – Local police in the Town of Wallkill are investigating a suspicious incident in which a 39-year-old Town of Wallkill said she was the victim of an attempted abduction.
According to Wallkill Police Chief Robert Hertman, the victim said she was walking on Rolling Meadows Road near Old Anvil Lane when the driver of a white minivan pulled up and ordered her to get in.  She fled on foot with the suspect in pursuit.
After the woman entered a nearby residence, the man fled.
