Richard “Rick” James Malvey, age 39, passed away unexpectedly at home on March 14, 2023. He was born in Bergenfield, NJ on September 8, 1983, to parents Richard Allen Malvey and Jean Foley-Malvey.
He worked as a Recovery Coach for the Dutchess County Department of Community and Family Services. In his free time, Rick loved to act, and to watch movies. He was a generous person who loved to make people laugh and offer his help whenever anyone needed it. He was a very dedicated and caring friend.
He is survived by his loving mother Jean Foley-Malvey; his sister Jeannine Malvey and her fiancé’ Ian Rattray; his uncle Jim and aunt Patricia Foley; his aunt Evelyn Foley; his aunt Catherine and uncle James Leo; and uncle Thomas and aunt Mary Foley; and cousins: James and Jack Foley, Emily Duignan- Donovan, James, John, Brian, William, and Teresa Leo, Mary Moran, and Karen Gessner, and many aunts, uncles and cousins on the Malvey side.
Rick was predeceased by his father Richard Allen Malvey; his aunt Doris Foley-Duignan, his uncle Kevin Duignan, and his aunt Alice Foley.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday March 19th, 2023, from 2-5 pm, with a funeral service at 5pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc. 1089 Main St. Fishkill, NY 12524.
A burial will be held on Saturday March 25th, 2023, at 12 noon at St. Denis Cemetery 604 Beekman Road Hopewell Junction, NY.
