Richard Foronjy, an actor of unparalleled talent and versatility, has bid farewell to the stage and screen, leaving behind a legacy that will always be a part of cinematic history. Best known for his iconic character roles in classics such as “Serpico,” “Midnight Run,” and “Carlito’s Way,” Richard captivated audiences with his commanding presence and innate charisma… Beyond the spotlight, Richard was also a wordsmith, showcasing his literary prowess with the publication of his first book “From the Mob to the Movies” a testament to his lifelong pursuit of creativity, expression, and staying off the streets.

Richard was a legend in every sense. He has left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. With a spirit as vibrant as the sun, he embraced life with unparalleled vigor and enthusiasm. Richard’s outgoing nature and infectious joy illuminated every room he entered, leaving a lasting impression on all who crossed his path. Richard Foronjy’s legacy of living life to the fullest will continue to inspire generations to come.

His journey as a father was marked by challenges and complexities. Richard’s life serves as a reminder that we are all imperfect beings, striving to navigate the intricate depths of relationships and for some parenthood. May his spirit find peace, and may his loved ones find solace in the memories of his vibrant essence. He leaves behind a beautiful family: His son Charles Foronjy, daughter Susan Argentina, daughter Christine Argentina, and his youngest son Richard Foronjy. They all have created incredible families and collectively gave him seventeen grandchildren, and a multitude of great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind three brothers Charles, Frank, and William, each a testament to his enduring love and influence. He spent his last days with his love Wendy Odell Chiaro and her family who showered him with love and adventures. He passed peacefully with his granddaughter Katherine Foronjy Coburn, his love Wendy, and her daughter Lori. Though his physical presence may have departed, Richard Foronjy’s spirit will live on through the countless lives he touched and the timeless performances that will continue to inspire generations to come.
