John K. “Jack” Conroy, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2024, in Cortlandt, NY. Born on September 20, 1946, in Manhattan, NY, Jack’s humor, wisdom, and intelligence touched everyone he met.

Jack proudly served his country as a Marine during the Vietnam War from 1965 to 1969, embodying the courage and dedication that would define his character throughout his life. Following his military service, he continued a life of service as a Sergeant for the NYPD emergency services, where his leadership and bravery were an inspiration to many.

Jack’s legacy is carried on by his loving wife, Regina Conroy; his children, Mike Conroy and his wife Amy, Sean Conroy, and Kathleen Nebush and her husband Luke; his brothers, Vincent and Michael Conroy; and his adored grandchildren, Liam, Brody, Kelly, Erin, Matthew, Ryan, and Anna, who will miss his playful spirit and sage advice.

Jack lived his life to his own standards and set of rules, which he imparted on those around him. His unique sense of humor brought laughter into everyone’s lives and made light of anything heavy. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his trustworthiness, sense of self, and profound wisdom.

Memorial Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Cargain Funeral Homes, Inc., 10 Fowler Avenue, Carmel, NY.
