John C. Malkin, 92, of New Paltz, died Saturday, February 18, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was a son of the late Joseph & Catherine Salerno Malkin.
John is survived by his wife of 70 years, Theresa Malkin of New Paltz; four children, Deborah (Daniel A.) Ingraham of Highland, Charles (Jennifer) Malkin of Washingtonville, NY, Dianne (Timothy Doyle) Malkin of Highland and John (Toni Rizzo) Malkin of Highland; seven grandchildren, Kelly (Mark), Melissa (Jenn), Shannon (Marc), Stefanie (Kevin), Timothy (Angie), Julia, and Megan; five great grandchildren, Logan, Ryland, Graham, Emilea, and Sammie Ann.
In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by a brother, Charles Malkin and a great grandson, John Abner.
The family will receive friends at the Copeland-Hammerl Funeral Home, 162 South Putt Corners Rd. on Thursday, February 23, 2023, from 3-7 PM.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 24, 2023, at St. Charles Borromeo Church at 11:00 AM.
Interment with military honors will follow in St. Charles Cemetery.
