ALBANY – The rate of new positive cases of COVID-19 in the Mid-Hudson Valley on Friday, the last day statistics were reported, was at 2.5 percent, the state reported.
The highest number of new cases was in Westchester County, at 234. Rockland County reported 98 and Orange County reported 80.
Areas of Rockland and Orange have been focus areas of COVID-19 hotspots.
In Rockland, the Friday positivity rate was 2.49 percent, while the Orange County rate was 1.04 percent.
