WASHINGTON – Doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers on the front lines in the coronavirus pandemic are working around the clock treating patients filling up hospitals and Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney (D, NY-18) believes they should be compensated more.
Maloney would like to see them receive more pay for their work.
“I’m talking to leadership in the House of Representatives about this right now and there are some other people talking about this now too, so some sort of combat pay or some sort of tax credit,” he said.
Day after day since the virus took hold we are hearing stories of healthcare professionals working extra-long hours with shortages of supplies.
