EAST FISHKILL – Donald Minichino has been an outspoken community activist and member of the Dutchess County Conservative Committee for many years.

On Tuesday evening, the county political committee elected the East Fishkill resident as the new chairman of the party. He replaces Maureen Natrella, who did not seek re-election.

Minichino plans to form a regional alliance with other Conservative leaders.

“One of my goals is to reach out to Orange and Ulster. We have some Assembly districts and congressional districts that cross the lines and we are going to pool our thoughts together and see what we can do as a co-op.”

Minichino said Assemblyman Kevin Cahill, a Kingston Democrat, represents a district that includes parts of Dutchess and Ulster counties and Congressman Antonio Delgado (D, NY-19) represents a district that includes portions of Dutchess and extends into Ulster and Sullivan counties.
