POUGHKEEPSIE – A man was attacked by five males on Main Street early Wednesday and transported himself to the hospital with a large stab wound. The police were notified by hospital personnel that a patient had walked in with a large laceration resulting from a stabbing.
Officers responded to MidHudson Regional Hospital on October 18 after receiving a call from a hospital staffer who reported the patient at 1:43 a.m.
The victim, according to police who interviewed him, had been walking on the 400 block of Main Street and was assaulted by a group of five suspects. The attack led to a large slash wound to the victim’s face.
